Description:

According to the Wehewehe Wikiwiki   , Kea means White, clear; fair-complexioned person, often favorites at court (Malo 201); shiny, white mother-of-pearl shell.. Alternative definitions includes: Breast milk., or a A variety of sugar cane, among Hawaiians one of the best-known and most-used canes, especially in medicine: clumps erect, dense, of medium height; pith white.

Site of several world class observatories. A point of contention of native Hawaiians as this is considered a sacred mountain.
