Description:
We have not been down to the Valley yet. My understanding is that it is a 4-wheel drive public road. We see tours going down. Also occasionally hikers. More investigation is needed to see if we can hike down. 

Note: Waipiʻo Pali is on the south part of the Big Island, Waipiʻo Valley is on the north side.

Caution: As of 2/26/2022 the road is closed to the valley, except for residents. The road has some stability problems.

Description:
This is an unofficial "beach" name close to Pu’uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park. Entrance into Honaunau Bay is exactly how it sounds. You go out onto a piece of lava jutting out into the bay. There is two small shelves which you can get your fins and mask on and then you splash into five ffeet of water.

Alternative definitions includes: Breast milk., or a A variety of sugar cane, among Hawaiians one of the best-known and most-used canes, especially in medicine: clumps erect, dense, of medium height; pith white.

Site of several world class observatories. A point of contention of native Hawaiians as this is considered a sacred mountain.
