Description:
Both these names probably derived from nearby Indian Canyon . Indian Rock is one of the points on the boundary of the original grant of Yosemite Valley in 1864. The name appears on the Wheeler Survey map of the valley, 1883. "Indian Ridge" is on the first Yosemite 30' map, 1897. (YNP) day." (Clark, 87-90) (YNP)

• June 2006 - Five day backpack trip with Andrea, Steven, Sherri and Gary--went along Indian Ridge to North Dome .
