  • Named for B F Loomis, early settler and photgrapher who lived at the base of Lassen Peak and who documented the 1914-1915 erruptions of Lassen Peak. The decision card indicates that note only this, but he lived in the area for 51 years as of 1927 and was still living then. He constructed many of the roads and trails to many of the parks interesting features. He also donated his museum at lake Reflection  to the Park upon his death. This museum is still in use as a vistor center/museum.
  • In Lassen Volcanic National Park, 2.4 km (1.5 mi) northwest of Eagle Peak and 4 km (2.5 mi) west of Lassen Peak.
