Description:

An old name; origin unknown. It is on the first 1:24,000 1907 map. The olf Mariposa Trail entered the Yosemite Grant along this creek.  From Peter Browning's book Place Names of the Sierra Nevada. Browning also notes that Meadow Brook is the source of Silver Strand Falls.

From GNIS: In Yosemite National Park,heads 2.7 km (1.7 mi) northwest of McGurk Meadow, flows north to Silver Strand Falls, continues in a northeasterly direction down Washburn Slide to the Merced River, 0.64 km (0.4 mi) west of Bridalveil Meadow.

Trips:

• May 31, 2023 - Day hike with Don, Rose, Sherri and Gary. We got stopped at Meadow Brook which was running pretty strong.
