Description:
Israel Ward Raymond (1811-1887); influential in securing grant of Yosemite Valley to State of California, 1864; one of the first commissioners appointed by the governor to manage the Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Big Tree Grove, 1864, serving until 1886.
