Description:
The lake probably was named in 1947 by Charles K. Fisher of the DFG. It is not known who named College Rock, nor when, except that it was before the 15-minute quad was issued in 1953. (SiNF) from Peter Browning's book Place Names of the Sierra Nevada: From Abbot to Zumwalt.
