2425 Fresno St, Fresno, CA
When built, the Fresno Memorial Auditorium was the center of cultural activity in Fresno. Since the building of the SaroyanTheater and the Convention Center in the 1960's, the Fresno Memorial Auditorium's use has diminished. But even now it serves a variety of purposes, such as local groups put on theater productions, certain City administrative functions are situated here as well. Even more moving is the entry in the auditorium. Two rows of flags flank the entry way. At the base of each flag are memorial plaques with the names and records of those who have served this country and have lost their lives.

In 1946, even Frank Sinatra visited here to perform a benefit concert for a youth center called The Shack.
In the
90's, a veteran's group established the National
Legion of Valor Museum in the building. The building was then
renamed to being the Veterans Memorial Auditorium. There still is
civic pride in the memorial. For example, recently an Eagle Scout
candidate coordinated an effort to refurbish sections of the
interior. He even obtained two acorns from Arlington to plant on the
grounds.
Remember back(Later on) when we talked about First Presbyterian Church? This was the original location of the church. It is a lesson that what we see now, what we preserve now, something else was here before it. This was also the location of White School, also called Central School which was used until 1896 when Fresno High opened at, Stanislaus and O St-remember us (we will) talking about that?
May have been a natorium as well. Someone has said that there was a sliding floor.
