Place: CA-Sky Parlor Meadow

Sky Parlor Meadow (quad)
(long, lat)

Description:
You'll pass the remains of an old sheep herder's cabin and through a forest of burnt tree trunks. Eventually you'll hike along the southeastern edge of Sky Parlor Meadow with an unobstructed view of Mt Kaweah.  From Trip Advisor

The trail leaving the lake is pretty flat and we got some really pretty views of the Kaweahs framed by the oncoming daylight through the pine trees on the edge of Sky Parlor Meadow.  We stopped to take some pictures of the beatiful scenery.  This was one of the top spots for views on the whole trip.  I’d definitely recommend getting to it at either sunrise or sunset to really get the full effect. From Backpackca2012

This is also called Upper Funston Meadow. See my blog on Funston.

Gary's note: This is the reason to go backpacking. A must stop next time. Also from the write up on Funston Meadow, the cabin probably belonged to Funston.
