Description:
We have been at Goat Meadow mostly when there is snow. But you can also get into Mariposa Grove through a back entrance. Also further up the Mt Raymond Road is Bleixdo Meadow.
Goat Mountain was reportedly where goats were let go after they had done there seasonal grazing. Not many were left for next season as they routinely eaten by the wildlife.
Trips:
- April 21, 2023 - Snowshoe starting at Goat Meadow, up road 5S06 to Buffin Meadow
- January 6, 2026 - Sherri and Gary hiked mostly up the Goat Mountain Trail.
