Description:
Mt Tabor is the remains of volcanic activity. This is port of the Boring Lava Field. There are three other volcanic peaks within Portland. The park's design had Olmstead's step-son as a consultant. Mt Tabor may not be a recognized park by Portland, but has all the trappings of one. During the 1920's, Mt Tabor was the site of KKK activities.

Trips:

• January 13, 2023 - Day trip to Portland where we visited Voodoo Donuts, Powell's bookstore and Mt Tabor. We then picked up Steven from the airport.
• We drove most of the way to the top and walked the rest of the 50' to the top. Worthwhile walking the park.
