Description:
There are five lakes in this chain within the sphere of Minneapolis. There is another lake northwest of the Twin Cities with the same names.
Bde Maka Ska: The largest lake in the chain (formerly Lake Calhoun), known for busy beaches, sailing, and paddleboard rentals. Lake Harriet: Features a historic bandshell with summer concerts, two public beaches, and the nearby Lyndale Park rose garden.Lake of the Isles: A peaceful lake framed by grand historic homes, an off-leash dog park, and stunning skyline views.Cedar Lake: Offers a more rugged, wooded feel with secluded beaches and excellent nesting spots for local wildlife.Brownie Lake: The smallest and northernmost lake, connecting directly to Cedar Lake via a pedestrian bridge and channel.
