Description:
From Wikipedia known legally as Trinity College, the University of Dublin (TCD), and by decree as The College of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Queen Elizabeth near Dublin, is the synonymous constituent college of the University of Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. Founded by Queen Elizabeth I in 1592 through a royal charter, it is one of the extant seven ancient universities of Great Britain and Ireland. Trinity contributed to Irish literature during the Victorian and Georgian eras, and played a key role in the recognition of Dublin as a UNESCO City of Literature.

There is a long list of notable graduates which include Nobel Prize winners, nationally and world wide known politicians, and countless writers. Some of the more recognizable names are: Yeats, Wilde, Earnest Walton, Bram Stoker, Edmund Burke, and Mary Robinson.

Visiting the Old Library is worth whatever time you have on campus. The guide noted it was being renovated for the next five years and may be closed.

Book of Kells from Wikipedia: an illustrated manuscript and Celtic Gospel book in Latin, containing the four Gospels of the New Testament together with various prefatory texts and tables. It was created in a Columban monastery in either Ireland or Scotland,1 and may have had contributions from various Columban institutions from each of these areas. It is believed to have been created c. 800 AD. There is 680 pages. Every 6 to 12 weeks a page is turned. We were there one the first day of a new page. The book contains the four gospels in Latin, taken from the Vulgate.
