I slept pretty well last night until I got up for a bathroom break, then it was hard going back to sleep. But eventually I did.
At 7:47 Korra started nuzzling my nose-guess that was my sign to get up. I took the hint and got dressed and took Korra and Friday out. It is a bit cool out here in Medford, maybe in the high 30’s. I saw that John called and I returned his call, leaving a message. Both the dogs and I decided that when they did their business, we wanted inside.

I had my breakfast-after Friday barking last night while we were all gone, we decided that at least one of us needed to be in the room with her. While at breakfast, John returned the call which I returned. We talked for five minutes. We all took a shower-not the dogs, the humans, then got ready to leave.

By the time we all got ready, it is 10:20. I drove to Grants Pass, where I got confused about what the GPS was telling me. We are aiming for Jeremy’s coffee shop, my second cousin. The shop by the way is called Rogue Roaster. We met Paula and Rick there-Sherri for a cup of coffee.Steven and I got tea. We talked for close to an hour when we both needed to leave. They will be leaving for Arizona in a week, so it was good to see them.
Steven takes over driving. I read some more of Scott Pelley’s book Truth Worth Telling. We realize it will be close to 3 before reaching Salem. So we stop at In-N-Out in Roseburg for lunch. Then on our way again with Steven driving. Pretty uneventful. We get in about 4:00. There was something which was in the road which backed up traffic and delayed us-we did not hit it.

It is good to be with Andrea and Lawrence. It will be a full house for the next four nights. But I think we will be living together well and enjoying each other’s company.
For dinner, we had chili. Which helped to keep us warm. As an added bonus, it tasted good. After dinner, we went and picked up Rachel. She had flown into Portland and taken a shuttle to a Salem Holiday Inn. Everybody is here and happy to be together.
We talked into the evening and then went to bed at about 10. We have a run/walk in the morning, not early, but we will need to get moving.
