Description:

Exactly what it says it is, a gallery of portraits. Take special notice of the Presidents. I found them fascinating, both how the style of portraits progressed, but even more so, the facial expressions and what they tried to portray. Such as Carter was very down home, just like what he was as President. While both Kennedy and Clinton's was done in a modern style, which did not work for me at all.

There were people of the West and people of the colonies and everything between. Much more fascinating than I was expecting.

The National Portrait Gallery is housed in the same building as the National Museum of American Art.

One note: eat someplace else. The food is packaged food and seems a bit tasteless.
